Today I got another little egg. At Jay's suggestion, I took the two little eggs (I named them Brian and Dwight...only my facebook friends will get that) over to Scott and Mel's house to show the girls. Then we carefully poked a tiny hole in each end of the two eggs and skillfully blew the contents out of the shell. Now the shells were ready to be preserved forever in my curio cabinet full of mementos. I brought the little shells home and wrote the date of their birth on the outside and shelac'd them to preserve them. While they were drying I whipped up the contents and when I went to put some salt in them, I realized that the lid was broken and a lot more salt than I had intended went in. I whipped them up and threw them in the pan to cook. They looked lovely and I could hardly wait to eat them. Much to my dismay, when they were done, I took a big bite and quickly spit it back out. They were so salty even I couldn't eat them. I was so disappointed I wanted to cry. Moose, however, was thrilled to be the recipient of this delectable treat. The salt didn't bother him a bit. One good thing however, tomorrow there will be more and I can try again. The chicken adventures will continue.
